Active Travel
Be it walking to school, cycling to work, or other everyday journeys you make to get from place to place β rather than solely for leisure or fitness β active travel can offer a convenient, accessible and affordable way to move more.
Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active and make short journeys.
Cycling is another great way to make short journeys, especially those that might take a little longer on foot. Itβs also affordable, great for the environment and you!
Both walking and cycling will increase your fitness, boost your physical and mental health, and are enjoyable social activities.
A borough-wide walking and cycling map is available to download.
